It’s been awhile since I bought my pc, and I’ve been planning to upgrade. I’m thinking about buying an affordable gaming laptop. The last time I went to the mall I saw that they’re offering a best value for acer laptops, and I’m considering it as one of my options, since the hard core gaming laptops are way too expensive and out of my budget.

Anyway, I’m not really a hard core gamer, I just need some time to cool down. I kind of missed gaming, after all the work and being busy helping out with my dad’s projects. Watching movies is mostly what I do with my family during weekends, and I need another diversion to minimize the stress building up in my system.

During my college days, I was super fond of pc games. I usually play more often when I’m about to have an exam, contrary to what most parents believe, that kids should avoid extra curricular activities, most especially during exam periods. But for me, it was a good way to relax and clear my mind off stressful stuff.

After playing games, my boredom is gone and I’m ready for the tough ride. It works for me, and perhaps it’s all I need now. Just a little fun, I also miss my gaming buddies and I’m thinking, maybe I should hang out with them sometime, so I will be updated with the new games.

I’ve been eying a couple of custom laptops recently, both are new series from Howard. It started last week, when my brother asked me if I knew any powerful notebooks that are not overpriced yet ideal for a total computing experience. From basic internet browsing, emailing, or creating word documents, to playing high resolution games, multi-media playback, or efficient for using business applications.

So, I’ve done a little research and found JagHS5 and TW9 notebook. Both have sleek looking chassis with a powerful Core™ i5 processors with Turbo-Boost Technology. and both series come in a very affordable price compared to other notebooks, that have the same power and functionality. I will do more research about them, and find out where I can get a good deal. It might be just an ideal gift for my bro.

Asus EeePc 1000H in the house! finally I got to buy a netbook yesterday. I have been saving up for it, because my younger brother JR will be doing a thesis this summer and he will be using our notebook, the Gateway MD7801u that dad bought us last January. It is vacation time and I do not want to bother my other younger siblings who are spending more time playing games on their desktop gaming pc.

Asus EeePC 1000H netbook looks really neat with the 10″ display that allows users to view documents and webpages in a high resolution. It also comes in different colors, but what I have is the ebony black one. Dee wanted the white one at first, but then we both agreed that black is better and is not likely to get dirty just in case it gets scratched or something.

EeePC 1000H

This is how my EeePC looks like beside the 19″ samsung lcd screen of my younger siblings’ desktop. It sure does look pretty small, but nice. Pardon the clutter in their room (lol).

EeePC 1000H – Easy blogging on the go! At least, with this new EeePC 1000H netbook I can blog even if I am outside or traveling, because it is very handy. EeePC 1000H netbook is loaded with a 6 cell battery, that if functions of your netbook are configured right, the battery life could last up to 7 hours in a one day computing time. So far, I have used it 5 hours plus maximum, most probably because I had wi-fi on all the time.

EeePC 1000H netbook currently runs on the OEM version of Windows XP Home that came with the package. However, I’d like to switch to ubuntu anytime soon, or propably pimp my netbook to dual boot both Ubuntu and Windows XP. A friend said that EeePC also runs fine with the new Windows 7. We’ll see…

EeePC 1000H netbook look less sleek and sassy than its competitors when it comes to physical appearance, but feature and specifications wise, it is definitely better. Other than th above mentioned specifications, the EeePC 1000H netbook has 160 gig solid state drive, 2 gig ram, 1.6-GHz Intel Atom processors, High speed connectivity anywhere with Wi-Fi 802.11n, Bluetooth, 1.3MP web cam, etc. In short, you get the same specs as the more expensive competitions, and even more for much less the price. Amazing, right?

Overclock EeePC 1000H netbook. It is not a gaming mini notebook, but some gamers have tried tweaking their netbooks to run games by overclocking it to more or less 2.0 ghz. There are downsides when you do this, such as the normal temperature of the notebook going up by about 30% or depending on the outside temperature. If you plan to this trick and tweak, be sure to know how to cool down your netbook, otherwise it will get fried before your very eyes. If you feel confident that you are tech savvy enough to Overclock EeePC 1000H, go ahead and make a record as the owner of the fastest EeePC 1000H in the world from the normal 1.6 ghz power overclock to over 2.1 ghz speed Atom processor. I have read a few forum posts

EeePC 1000H netbook is a great pick for simple users and bloggers like me. Who knows I’d get a free trip out of the country, courtesy of YOU, at least I have a netbook and I could blog about my experience. This handy gadget is worth the money I saved and I recommend it for those people on the go, and bloggers out there, as well as those net surfing enthusiast. Rather than straining your eyes on tiny expensive phones for mobile computing, grab a netbook! Get your Asus EeePC 1000H – Stay connected on the go!

My phone’s camera is not that good, so i looked for clearer photos that you can take a closer look at.

Today was a happy Day! It was testing time for our new gateway md7801u notebook. I was so tempted to unbox it and play with it soon as Dad came home, but I waited for the rest of the family because I know they were just as excited and I didn’t want to spoil the fun. I know it’s cheesy but it’s just more exciting that way. We have learned to share our happiness and it works great for us, it’s sort of like a celebration of blessings, even little things like this new techie gadget that daddy Joey has bought us. You see, we’ve been tightening our belts for the past year and have learned to be content with what we have and not think too much about what we can’t have And having this one major gift from dad is just really awesome. It’s not just for me but for everyone, even for dad himself. He said he has already tested the gadget but he was just excited as all of us. The excitement was making me feel uneasy, how I wanted to drag time or make it run faster so that we can unbox our gift. I text-ed my brothers and told them about it and they couldn’t wait to come home.

Everyone was home and we already had a sumptuous dinner courtesy of mom Chloe and Abuela Anna. We all settled at the sala as if unboxing a present from santa. You can see and feel the excitement. JR was the one who unboxed the gift from dad and it’s really nice! It’s not the usual small and pretty light laptop, rather it was regular in weight but very classic looking. Dad said he has chosen the said laptop with a not so small screen so playing and watching movies would still be a great experience. The specifications were awesome as expected. We all loved it so much we couldn’t help but hugs and thank dad. Everyone took turns in using it, and Miko was so busy installing and setting up the Internet wi-fi router so both PCs will have connection at home.

As expected Amari, Miko and Paolo were crazy about downloading games to their newly upgraded PC. I can’t describe the happiness that everyone felt during that moment. Even as simple as unboxing a new gift, when shared with everyone, can be such a magical and happy moment for a family. Right now, dad is playing with our new toy and exploring. I’m sure he’s just as excited, coz it’s been awhile since he had to let go of his own laptop. What more can I say? It’s a happy day!

Gateway MD7801u, Astig! A New Notebook! Yes! Just as what dad promised us, he bought us a new laptop and I’m blogging from home right now. Things are getting better and better for us each day and we are so thankful to God for all the blessings that we are receiving from him. I’m sure my siblings will be so happy later when they get home and find out we have a new laptop, a 1mbps internet connection plus a new telephone line. This means no more prepaid phone lines for us, because it comes with free local calls and all that. Ang lakas ng globe! yoohoo!

Another great thing is that, dad also had our old pc fixed and so we have two, and we don’t have to wait for each other to finish using the PC. Miko being such a gaming freak would sure be glad the other PC is ok again. He agreed to share it with Amari and Paolo. JR and I can share with the new notebook. But whoever needs to use it can have it. We promised dad that once he buy us a notebook we will take care of it.

Dad bought the Gateway MD7801u Laptop that was offered to him by a colleague. Dad said he paid for half of it in cash and he used his 0% deal on his credit card for the half of the amount payable in 1 year. Wow, that’s just awesome! I’m so happy that dad’s projects have pushed through. I can’t wait til I graduate, pass the board exam and be a licensed Architect just like him. When that happens we can work together as we planned and who knows one day we will have our own construction firm. God is good!

He originally planned to buy us another desktop coz it’s cheaper but he thought of buying a notebook that has a lot of storage instead so it’s easy to take it and move it wireless inside the house, and did I say it also came with a free printer? Anyway, Here are The Specs just in case you’d like to get one too. Everyone’s crazy about either getting a Macbook, Dell, Sony, Asus, HP, etc. But I must say that Gateway has a say when it comes to specs too. I say, daddy Joey made the right choice.

Daddy Joey came home with a big smile on his face. We knew he had something nice to say. We forced him to blurt it out but he refused. We asked him to give us a clue and he was doing a typing gesture as if he had a screen in font of him. My mom sort of squealed and we all figured it out. His deals got closed and that means his projects will be carried out. Dad said he is expecting his down payment and he will be able to finally buy the laptop he promised us! Yoooohhhoooo!

We were so happy, and in addition to that he said that the other PC will be picked up by some repair guys to have it check and the broken parts will be replaced and upgraded. We all jumped in excitement my little sister Amari was even clapping.

Yeah I know it’s just a laptop, but little things that we never appreciated much before, we appreciate a lot now, and for us, it’s such a great blessing. We’ve also been doing our reports, assignments, and projects outside in the nearby Internet and computer shop. At least now we can do it at home! Yooooohhhhooo!

We’re so excited and we just can’t hide it, it makes us wonder what are the specs. Dad Joey said it will be a gateway md7801u laptop. I have no idea, coz Ive never tried using a Gateway brand for a pc, or laptop before. All I know is that dad won’t get us one if it’s not good.
