Celebrating Chinese New Year

It’s our very first time to celebrate Chinese New Year here in our new home and we’re all excited about it. We’re so happy that we could celebrate it together just like Christmas and New Year. Tonight we will have a little family feast and gift giving.

My mom and aunt also made a special promo on their shop and they gave away ipods and other gadgets as prices last week for a pre-celebration of the Chinese new year. A lot of their loyal customers were happy about it. It’s a way of giving back to them after a successful launch and few months of running the business.

I hope that this new year of the Rabbit will bring us all the prosperity and luck in life, in love, family, career, and most especially good health. Happy Chinese New Year everyone! May we all be showered with fortune and have a happy year ahead!

Family Movie Time!

It’s really great to watch movies in theaters with your whole family once in awhile. We had so much fun when we last watched a 3d movie, and how I wish that we could buy our own 3D tV soon, so that we can watch 3d movies in the comfort of our own home. But anyway, 3d or not, we still love family movie time at home every weekends, and seeing mom browsing through a theater seating review makes me feel that sooner or later, the more it will be comfortable and fun watching movies in our own movie room at home, most especially now that we have ample space for our soundproofed entertainment room, and the only problem is how to fill it up with gadgets and comfortable seats.

So, most probably before we would be experiencing family movie time in 3d here at home, we would be seeing new sets of comfortable couches and lazy boys, courtesy of my dad. Palliser is one of the brands that my dad prefer when it comes to furniture. We all trust his choice and judgement, because dad is pretty picky when it comes to stuff we use at home, most especially when it concerns comfort and style. He also choose furniture, appliances, and gadgets of great quality and provides, reliability, strength and longevity.

The Family Shopping Gurus

‘The Family Shopping Gurus’ – Mom, Dee and Abuela together with little sister Amari, went shopping last Black Friday. While others were rushing to buy bags, apparels, clothes, shoes, make-up, gadgets and other stuff, the ladies in our home took advantage of the huge discounts and the big savings on the needed kitchen utensils for our new beautiful kitchen.

They also shopped for other kitchen appliances that had price tags on sale. Most of the items they bought were of trusted brands and excellent quality. and guess what? They got them with up to 60% discount from the original price. Simply amazing!

It’s great to have three women from three different generations, shopping wisely, putting their ideas together to buy stuff that we need at home. It’s also great that our next generation little sister Amari gets to be with them, to learn thrift shopping as early as now, and be as wise as them in the future.

Home On The Road

Are you planning to go on a long trip this Christmas and New Year’s vacation? If so, bringing your entire home on the road would be a great choice. Our moms spend most of their lifetime taking care of the whole family and looking after our needs, and most of all, she is the one who is responsible in making our home always look and feel clean. Family Dream Home Theater

Watching movies at home is one of our best family bonding activity. With popcorn or fries, chips and iced tea, it feel just like watching movies in mall theaters. In our bigger home before, we used to have an entertainment room, but after we moved to the house that we are currently staying at, we only watch movies in the living room.

The house that we live in now is smaller and have a limited area too., but we have plans to build another home that we can really call our own. We sold our home before, as well as Abuelo and Abuela’s ancestral home to finance the medication of my late Uncle Luis who had cancer and also my late Abuelo. That’s why, when the time comes that we will be able to build a new house again, hopefully before next year ends or on 2011, we will be able to have an entertainment room again and our family dream home theater with a complete set of home theater furniture, and everything.My dad and I had an agreement that we will save to buy a bigger lot to make a bigger compound like extended home. A main house then we can also slowly build extended areas that will accommodate the whole family. And who knows, if ever we are financially stable, we can design a great home theater with complete projector and relaxing home theater seating.

Before, I planned to get a housing loan so we can move out, but my Abuela, mom and dad is against it. They want us to build our own home but still within the same compound as our new home, that will serve as an ancestral home to our future kids and grand kids.

Christmas Gifts From Across The Miles

We got our early Christmas gifts was sent by my two cousins , uncle and aunt who are living in NY. They sent it early because they want to make sure we will get it before Christmas.

Iñigo also got the gift toys. that they promised him. We weren’t supposed to give it to him until Christmas eve, but he insisted that he have it now, and that it’s not gonna make a difference since he saw it already. At least we’re all happy with the wonderful gifts we received from across the miles.

My younger brothers are happy because we finally have a new hardcore gaming PC. At long last, we finally got a good gaming PC, because we used to play using our old pc that my dad got fixed. Even if we had the memory upgraded, it was getting really slow. I guess it’s because the new games being released required higher specs.

Now, we also have a nice lcd screen and a machine designed for ultimate gaming with upgraded system memory. Not only that, it also came with all the accessories and gaming gadgets.

You know how young boys are, especially my two younger brothers, gaming is a big thing for them. I am a grown up now, but I am also into gaming, and we’re really thankful coz my cousin Rachel really thought of us. My sister Amari is also happy with it, because she can now play farmville and farmtown with the other computer without my brothers taking over anytime they want.
