Mass Shower For The Evacuees
We all know that one of the most important thing to keep people away from diseases is cleanliness, but after typhoon Ondoy, many people don’t get to shower anymore, most especially the evacuees, that’s why many kids and adults are gettick sick and acquiring certain skin diseases.
With the purpose of promoting health and wellness among the families affected by Ondoy, one non government organization came up with the idea of setting up a Mass Mobile Shower. They also gave away hygiene kits, towels, and clean sets of new clothing for people to use. The evacuees were so happy finally getting a shower after being drenched with the rain and getting so messy and dirty with flood and dirt. It’s such a wise idea, aside from giving them relief goods such as food, clothing, slippers, etc.
Water being stored in the stainless steel drums were also brought to other affected areas, because they did not have a clean source of water supply after the storm. I’m so glad that there are people and NGOs who take the initiative to reach out and provide immediate assistance, and they even work faster than the national and local government given that they have so limited funds. This makes me wonder… where did all our taxes go?

Di man lang nakunsensya.
