Family Weekend : In My Life The Movie and The Giant Pizza

My mom, Abuela, and Dee kept asking me and my brothers to grab a copy of the movie entitled “In My Life” that stars Vilma Santos. At first, we were just laughing about the idea, but they got upset about it. We realized that they were really serious about wanting to watch it. Not that I don’t like watching local movies, but it’s a dramatic sort of movie and I guess me and my brothers share the same sentiment about it. It’s not our type — but the women at home, including my little sister Amari insisted that they would want to watch it this weekend.

My dad said to just let them watch the movie of their choice, and then we can watch another movie next weekend. So, we all agreed to it with the condition that we will have pizza for dinner and next week, we are the ones who will choose the movie to watch. They also agreed to the condition, so while they were watching the movie, we were playing pc games while eating pizza. But with the movie playing, it was kind of distracting, so whether we liked it or not, we could not help but watch.

My thoughts were flying though, I was wondering how much they spent to be able to produce that movie, given that it was shot in NY, with all those casts and crew. They must have stayed in cheap new york hotels to be able to save and stay on their budget. Star Cinema must have invested a lot of money in their new movie. I wasn’t able to watch the whole thing, just seen a few scenes and overheard some of their melodramatic conversations.

Mom ordered a party size pizza from Calda and had it delivered here in  our place. While the four girls in the family were enjoying their movie,  dad,  Iñigo, together with me and my three younger brothers  — we concentrated on the pizza. It was gigantic, and we got really full. It was unbelievably cheap for a huge sized pizza with variety of flavors. It was a perfect match for our iced tea.

I can’t wait til the next family weekend.
