Family Movie Marathon Week

This week is going to be a family movie marathon week for us. All my siblings are enjoying their break from school, and with the current weather condition, my parents would rather have them spend their vacation at home that go out. The weather is quite unpredictable nowadays. This morning the sun was shining and we thought that it will be a sunny day, but even though the sun is up, it suddenly rained. This must be an effect of the low-pressure area that’s moving towards this direction, we’re just hoping it won’t turn into a tropical depression or something.

Anyway, me and my brother Miko went to the nearby DVD rental house to rent some movies good for a week. We already had our list of movies prior to going there. It’s also a good time to watch those movies that we missed out early this year and the previous. Mom and dad also wanted to watch some old films. We also bought  easy to prepare iced-tea, finger foods and chips from the nearby grocery store.  Watching movies is now a lot more entertaining for us, ever since my Aunt handed us down their old LCD TV when they bought a new much wider screen plasma TV. I guess that’s how it works in NY, and it’s pretty affordable for them, unlike here it will burn your pockets before you finally get to buy a plasma TV. But we’re lucky because we got our high resolution LCD tv for free and it’s huge enough for us. We’re not really that picky and it doesn’t matter if it was just handed down to us. It also saved us some space in our living room because dad just used the rackmount lcd tv wall mount to have it fixed on the wall.

Now, we can move freely in the living room. We can also play games using the lcd. Our living room has actually a much bigger space now minus the old TV and rack that is now in my Abuela’s room, where she and mom gets to watch their favorite telenovela in the afternoon and at night.  The TV screen is also not that close to our eyes, and we can now add a couple of beanbag chairs.
