Today, we enrolled Iñigo for his formal swimming lessons. After watching the news with kids drowning helplessly in a ship wreck incident, I had this fear, and I thought that kids should really be taught how to swim and survive.
We discussed the matter over dinner, and my mom and dad suggested that we enroll Iñigo together with Amari in a formal swimming class.
The swimming class covers not only teaching kids how to swim in different strokes, but also survival swimming just in case of emergencies. I want my son to be able to learn how to take care of himself. Soon, he will grow older, and he will go out and maybe go swimming with his friends, and I will not be there all the time to look after him.
I think enrolling him in swimming lessons for kids will also develop his love fo0r the sport, and who knows, eventually he might decide that he want to pursue the sport. For now, my on ly concern is for him to learn how to swim and be safe.
Swimming lessons for kids and babies are now becoming popular. Experts says that babies know how to swim even before they are born, because they got used to floating inside their mom’s womb, and it is actually easier to teach infants and young kids how to swim, than adults. So, if you fear that your kid might be too young to have swimming lessons, think again.
