Keep Your Kids Protected From the Sun

baby-swimwearGoing swimming this weekend? We are! and we’re very excited about it. After the storm and rainy days, finally we are going to the falls, and going  swimming at the beach afterwards. If you are also going on a swimming trip, and you’re bringing your kids along, you better make sure that they are protected from the harmful effects of the ultraviolet rays coming from the sun.

If adults are prone to sunburn and prickly heat — how much more the young ones? Babies and kids have a very sensitive skin that’s why Dee always make sure that we have a hypoallergenic sunblock lotion with high SPF for Iñigo’s skin protection whenever we go swimming in the pool or at the beach. And to make sure that Iñigo is protected from the temperature change and heat, we got him a baby banz suit that’s 3/4 sleeved to provide him with maximum protection and comfort. The suit is clinically tested with UPF 50+ rating.

Kids have very sensitive eyes,  they should also be provided an eyewear with UV protection. Educate them why they have to wear their cute kids sunglasses when going out on a very sunny day. Have them wear cute hats and caps too, so their eyes and sensitive scalps will not be directly exposed to the blinding light and heat of the sun. As we all know, kids have this tendency to experiment. Some start pointing and looking at the sun, and you will only find out when they start complaining about their eyes hurting or getting blurry. I know so, because I have done the same thing when I was a kid. That’s why right now, I make sure that Iñigo will not do the same thing. Keep your kids protected from the sun too!

all good tips. The hat’s thing is really the biggest for our family. I’m 35 and have had 3 skin cancers above the neck. Hat’s and sunglasses are a must. I’m always happy to see people preaching the virtues of sun protection. Thanks!
