12 gauge might be too big for a little woman, and the dog makes a great early warning system. We used to live in Southern california and our house was broken into once when we were at home. It was quite frightening, thankfully we had a home security system that automatically alerted the police. So, yeah, I see what you’re saying. Nobody wants to see a loved one in danger due to our negligence.
