Little Boy Blue

Kids often feel bad and sad when they don’t get what they want, and they start having tantrums, but  we’re lucky because Iñigo doesn’t have that kind of attitude. But, I have noticed how sad he is, most especially today. Maybe it’s because we usually go to church  during Sundays and then eat out or go to the mall, but we are not able to do that today

I asked him what was wrong and he said, “I miss mama.” He cried a lot when Dee left for Manila yesterday to do something important. I guess it is normal for Iñigo to miss her a lot, since this is the first time that she’s been away. I kept telling him that his mama will be home the next day, but he still keeps on complaining why she’s taking too long, when in fact, she’s only been away for a day.

We keep trying to cheer him up but he would still end up sitting by the doorstep with eyes nailed outside. He keeps on asking when his mom is going home, and if his mama will be home tonight. We called Dee on the phone so they could talk, and that’s the only time that he smiled and felt secure that his mama is doing okay and going home soon.
