The Day Iñigo Learned About Colors

crayons-colorsToday, I woke up from a nice dream about colors. Actually, it was more like memories of young Iñigo when he first learned about colors. Iñigo is very advanced when it comes to learning, at the age of one plus, he was already talking and mimicking everyone. He loved one particular book that my aunt gave him, his first book about colors. He would point at anything red and would say, “red!” It’s funny because he would always say the color if he does not know the name of the fruit, person, or thing.

We used to have a neighbor who works for a ceratin company whose uniform has a green shade. We were surprised that every ssingle day when Iñigo we take Iñigo for a short morning walk under the rising sun, he would say “Gweeen!” Only to find out that he was referring to kuya Roman. We would tell him “uncle roman,” and he would say “akoy yuman gween!”

Iñigo would always say yellow banana, red apple, green leaves, etc. Associating colors with everything seemed to have worked. He learned so fast, even I can’t help but be amazed with how fast his thinking is. He truly got the wits of his mom. (lol)

Today, I woke up smiling and I hugged him. I guess I hugged him a little too tight because he woke up and said, “is it time for school yet?” I told him it’s a Saturday, and he said, “tomorrow is a Sunday,” then he went back to sleep.
