Saved By My Card!
I have decided to end my relationship with my credit card. People kept telling me not to, but I told them I would not be needing it anymore. Although my card has helped me a lot during those times that I needed financial support the most, I have made a decision to be free from credit. I have already settled all my bills and I am now free from any obligations! I am the type of person who do not like the feeling of having to owe anyone or a certain bank any monetary obligation because I always end up worrying about it. I promised myself that as soon as school is over, I will let go of my credit card. But, just the day before I was going to go the bank to finally cancel everything, my brother needed something for an emergency. I was just so glad that I was not able to reach the bank yet. Dee and I were about to get out of the mall where the bank was situated next to. I was just a few steps away when my brother called!
My brother needed to pay for the processing of his important documents for the exchange student program, and he had two payment options, either through bank transfer, or via online payment services using a credit card. JR does not have a credit card yet, and he is still a student. My brother is not working or earning money on his own yet. I am the only one who can help him, I have cash but it is not enough for what he needs, if he would choose to pay in cash. Dad could not come to the rescue either, because he and mom would not be home until tomorrow. My card is the only answer and solution to the given situation. I’m just really glad and thankful that I did not go to the bank earlier, or else, I do not know how else I could help my brother.
At least Dad promised to pay for JR’s credit and I have nothing more to worry about. I have also decided to keep the card for good. I’ve realized that there are some things that we should not just let go of, because they have a bigger purpose in our lives, even when we think we don’t need them anymore, or we would do better without them. I was saved by my card once again! Now, I do not wonder why some people say, credit is life, or why even the wealthiest people I know, have credit cards too. (LOL)

as much as i want to cancel my credit card too; i still have use of it especially for scheduled bills payment. saves a lot. you don’t have to line up to pay. you can pay online. as long as you stay within limit.
