4 Effective Ways of Having Fun with Your Family Without Spending a Cent
Let me share my “4 Effective Ways of Having Fun with Your Family Without Spending a Cent“ secret. You need not spend a lot of money to go on grand vacations or go out to expensive resorts and restaurants to enjoy, bond, and have fun as a family. Anywhere you are, more preferably at home, as long as you are all together, you can have clean fun minus the overspending. Here are 4 creative ways to spend quality time and have fun with your family without spending a cent:
- Watch Movies – I’m sure than most of the families have their own TV and DVD players. If you’re lucky to have a home theater, that’s a plus, but even a simple TV and player would do. Gather everyone in the living room, ask what movie they want to watch. I suggest something funny, so everyone will have a good laugh. The TV screen may not be as huge, as the ones in the movie houses, but who needs a huge screen when you feel happy and comfortable at home? You watch shows on that TV everyday anyway, so I’m sure your TV is working great.
- Enjoy the Food – I’m sure when watching a movie everyone would like to munch on something. Try so check on what you have inside your fridge or cupboards. Make something good out of what you have. Don’t go looking for something that’s not available, because you will have the tendency to go out and spend. Just be resourceful, and make sure to feed your family with healthy food.
* Eating while watching a movie is also good. I guess not all of you will agree with me on this matter. I’m pretty sure most of you got used to the proper eating set-up, but it won’t be bad to let the kids find their comfy places to settle in, and eat while watching a movie at the same time. For as long as they don’t spill the food, just let them be. Don’t make so much fuss about it, you only do it once in a blue moon! Make home the most comfortable place for them. What matters more is that you’ll have fun.
* If you’ve noticed, sometimes when you serve the kids with fried chicken, the moment they see it in front of them, they don’t feel like eating anymore. But try serving it crispy but not too hot while they’re watching a movie, trust me you won’t have a hard time making them eat.
* Got no drinks? that’s not a problem. If you have fruits, you can make a fresh fruit shake! If you don’t, Get some tea coffee and shake with ice, put some milk or simply serve the tea cold. That should do for the adults, if they prefer it hot, then serve it hot.
* With the kids, you can be a little creative, instead of serving hot milk or chocolate drink, shake or serve them with ice. The kids would definitely love it! You should know, you were a kid once.
- Play Games – play fun board games, word games, or any games that you can play together as a family. Pretend that you’re in a kiddie party! If it’s a weekend and you have a pair of badminton racket and shuttlecock, you can make two teams and take turns in playing badminton. If you don’t have a huge area, just stay indoors and play any games you can think of. If you have no idea, better ask the kids what they think is fun.
- Have A Dance Party at Home – My son and I love doing this one. We always dance whenever we get the chance
This is priceless and the most fun of all! All you need is a music player or tune in to a dance radio station, then groove to the music. Show your kids your moves, and let them show theirs too, dance together, get into that partying mood and have fun! You have all your time to have fun without paying for anything. Dancing is also a good form of exercise, so while you’re having fun, you’re keeping your family fit too. Isn’t that great?
So far, those are the four things that we do to have fun at home as a family, most especially during weekends when everyone is home. But why get contented and stop with four when you can have more Effective Ways of Having Fun with Your Family Without Spending a Cent. If you don’t agree with my ideas, you are free to do your own thing! Do it your style… be creative, share ideas, and work it out! Experiment and have fun, for as long as nobody gets hurt and you enjoy your time together!
